Jane Moore - Women Over 50

Jane reached out in late January after a neighbor spotted my Facebook ad and encouraged her to make an appointment. A retired Emergency Room Physician, Jane had stepped away from her career to care for her husband who was fighting Parkinsons. A year after he lost his battle, her neighbor felt it was time for Jane to start living for herself again. Though hesitant and unsure why she was doing this, Jane bravely scheduled a session in the Women Over 50 Portrait Experience.

During her wardrobe consultation, she expressed self-doubt about being the “right” client, but I reassured her that every woman over 50 is the “right” client. On the day of her session, Jane walked in still unsure, saying, “I do not know what I am doing here.” With a glass of bubbly in hand, professional makeup, and hair styling by the talented Lauren MacKenzie, Jane began to relax into the experience.

Once ready and dressed in her first outfit, we played her favorite playlist — a mix inspired by her passion for cycling. Within just 15 minutes, Jane smiled and said, “I do not know what I was so worried about! This is FUN!” Her portrait session became not just a photoshoot, but a joyful celebration of rediscovery and self-expression.
